Individual & Couples
Counselling

Practical and personalised support for relationships, mental
health, and emotional balance.

Life can be overwhelming, but small steps in therapy can make a
real difference. Our individual and couples counselling sessions
provide practical strategies and support to help you feel balanced,
understood, and connected.

When life feels messy...

…let’s make sense of it together.

If you’re here, chances are life feels heavy or overwhelming right now. Maybe you’re having nights where your brain simply won’t shut off, relationships are confusing or draining, emotions feel like they’re all over the place, simple tasks feel harder than they should, or past experiences are still affecting you in ways you didn’t expect.

Things don’t have to stay this way. Even small steps—booking that first appointment, starting a conversation and simply giving yourself permission to be heard—can begin to make a real difference. Over time, it’s possible to feel more balanced, more connected, and more like yourself. Let’s get started!

OUR APPROACH

Real Talk. Real Strategies.

What you’re feeling makes sense, and you deserve support that meets you where you are—without judgment or pressure.

We’re here to walk alongside you. Our approach is simple: we talk, we explore what’s really going on, and we work together to find strategies that actually help you feel better in your everyday life. Whether it’s building healthier relationships, learning to regulate your emotions, processing past trauma, or managing anxiety and depression, our goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and equipped to take steps forward—at your own pace.

We believe therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating or clinical. It can be a place where you feel safe, where your story matters, and where change feels possible. Life is hard, but you don’t have to go through it alone—and together, we can find a way to make it feel a little lighter If this feels like what you need, we’d love to meet you. Let’s start wherever you’re at and take it from there.

We take mental health seriously...— but we also believe in keeping things human. Here are a few things that make our office special.

Our office has more pillows and blankets than you can count – because therapy just feels better when you’re comfy.

Don’t be afraid to use the words that feel right. Our office walls have heard plenty of expletives, and sometimes a little colorful language is exactly what’s needed.

Seasonal decorations are our guilty pleasure — we love adding cozy, seasonal touches all year long. Can you spot our new additions on your next visit?

Sometimes our “co-workers” include a few curious deer just outside the window.

I know how tough it can feel to be stuck in patterns that don’t serve you, especially when it comes to managing intense emotions or navigating connection with others. Sometimes it can feel like no matter how hard you try, the same struggles keep showing up — in your thoughts, your relationships, or how you respond when things get hard. My goal is to help you understand these patterns, where they come from, and how to gently start changing them.

I bring both professional experience and lived experience to my work. I understand what it’s like to struggle, to feel uncertain, and to want something different. That’s why I approach therapy with honesty, empathy, and a genuine belief that growth and change is possible for everyone. I work with adults experiencing emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, trauma, and borderline personality disorder. In our sessions, I aim to create a space where you can be fully yourself — no judgement, just real conversation and practical support. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out either; I’m human too, and I believe that authenticity helps build the kind of connection that makes therapy meaningful. When you’re ready to start understanding yourself in a new way and making sense of what’s been holding you back, I’d be honored to walk that journey with you.
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). I achieved my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2008. Gabrielle Pereira

REGISTERED PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

If you’re feeling stuck in patterns that keep repeating—whether in your relationships, your family, or within yourself—you’re not alone. So many of us find ourselves wondering why relationships that matter most can feel so complicated, or why we keep reacting in ways we wish we didn’t.

I help children, teens and adults make sense of these patterns, notice the thoughts and beliefs that get in the way, and build skills to regulate emotions, set healthy boundaries, grow more confident, and make it easier to communicate. Together, we work toward creating relationships that feel more authentic, balanced and fulfilling — with others and with yourself.

I have a special passion for working with BIPOC clients, because I know how it can feel to seek support in spaces that weren’t built with us in mind. My goal is to offer a space where you don’t have to explain or defend your experiences – but rather a place where your identity is embraced as a source of strength and resilience. My approach is warm, validating, and deeply human. I want you to feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are — no filters, no judgment — and I’ll do the same. Gentle humour, thoughtful reflection, and small personal stories help make our work together feel real and relatable, because healing happens through connection. If you value authenticity, warmth, and a little bit of humour along the way, we would likely be a good fit. I believe counselling doesn’t have to be stiff or overly clinical – it can be real, compassionate, and sometimes even a space to laugh in the middle of the hard stuff. If you’re ready to begin making changes—or even just curious about what that might look like—I’d be honored to connect and help you take the next step forward.
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). I completed my Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, along with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Law at the University of British Columbia.
CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Humanistic Therapy

Helene Eldegard

REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST, FOUNDER/DIRECTOR OF NORDIC PSYCHOLOGY INC.

Relationships can bring incredible joy, but they can also feel complicated, stressful, and sometimes painful. It’s easy to get stuck in patterns that keep repeating — arguments that go nowhere, trust that’s been shaken, or worries and self-doubt that make it hard to feel confident in yourself or your relationships. I work with couples and individuals to help break these patterns and create healthier, more fulfilling connections, so you can start truly enjoying life again.

I believe therapy works best when we’re honest about what’s happening and willing to roll up our sleeves together. I’m here to help you build real skills—whether that’s managing emotions, improving communication, or handling conflict more effectively. That can mean practicing skills and exercises directly in session, and sometimes a small dose of homework between sessions to make the changes stick in real life. At the same time, feeling safe to explore your thoughts and feelings openly and honestly is essential. It’s important to me that every person in my therapy room feels truly heard and understood. I meet every perspective with curiosity and respect, and I’m not here to take sides. Together, we’ll explore the patterns holding you back, practice strategies that make a difference, and create space for growth, connection, and meaningful change—both in your relationships and within yourself. You don’t have to navigate these challenges alone. I’m here to help you understand what’s happening, build new skills, and take steps toward relationships—and a life—that feel more balanced, satisfying, and authentic.
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA). I hold a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, as well as a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

1. English is my second language, so I have been known to make up my own words when I can’t find an English one that fits.

2. I’m a boy mom of 2 (soon to be 3) wild tornadoes.

3. My dream would be to author a book one day…when I have more time and not chasing children around between swim and hockey practice.
